SIAL is one of the busiest weeks of the year for the food and drink industry in China and, therefore, also for us. This time, as part of ‘Colours By Europe’ campaign that is running for the following two years, four chefs conducted an “Enjoy it’s from Europe” cooking show for hundreds of culinary professionals and food-service executives in the frame of the leading tradeshow in Shanghai on 14th May.
One starter, two main dishes and one dessert were presented by the award-winning chefs: Lily Li, winner of the New Cuisine Magazine Culinary Competition 2013; Peter Lin, champion of Bocuse d‘Or in 2013, 2015 and 2016; Johnny Gu, judge for the S.Pellegrino Cooking Cup in Italy; and Michelin-starred chef Shiqin Chen, judge at Global Gourmet’s Chef par Excellence.
They put the spotlight on a selected range of high-quality EU products already available in China, by demonstrating how to incorporate them into Chinese and Western recipes. EU products showcased ranged from seafood, beef and dairy products to wine, fruits, chocolate and others.
