A second field trip to Mongolia, part of the project to promote Mongolian meat exports, was successfully completed this week. These activities are part of a broader project conducted by the Asian Development Bank for Mongolian agriculture and rural development.
After a first evaluation of the current status of the industry, this visit helped us to gain a better understanding of the companies’ approach towards international markets. The trip agenda included visits and interviews with herders, meat processors, exporters and other industry professionals.
On November 7th, a roundtable discussion was organized to share our conclusions and recommendations up to this moment and to get feedback from companies, government and stakeholders involved.
