SIAL 2

This week Eibens team had a productive week at SIAL China. The Shanghai New Int’l Exhibition Center (SNIEC) hosted the 18th edition of the largest and most popular F&B exhibition in China, counting exhibitors from 67 countries all over the world and 30 provinces in China in 2016, promoting different products within this industry, such as meat, dairy products, pre-packaged food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages or aquatic products.

Booths including food preparation were frequent, specially in the Meat Pavilion.

As a vast number of foreign producers exhibit in this show, SIAL’s week is always a busy week for us even if we would not attend the show. Most trade promotion agencies and other organizations take advantage of the delegations coming to the country to organize matchmaking and networking events, visits, seminars, and other activities that pack up the agenda for the week. We took the opportunity to meet some of our clients as well as many Chinese importers with whom we have developed a long-lasting relationship over the years.

Chinese F&B sector is still full of opportunities for foreign companies, and although we believe that there are other, more efficient ways to get business in the country, SIAL is still a referent for the F&B industry.
